Everything is Awesome

August 1, 2015

Seconds

Minutes

Hours

The never ending clock reads how much time goes by.

I sit on the couch and am inside an abyss of nothing but the steady tick of the clock.

Tick

Tick

Tick

There is absolutely nothing to do.

Even though my shelf is filled with books. Even though my guitar lay in its case. Even though my recipe books are in a drawer. Even though my friends are one phone call away. Even though the sun is shining. Even though I have the world at my feet.

There is absolutely nothing to do.

I open my eyes in sudden realization. My hands are not chained to the wall. My feet are not shackled to the floor. My body is not imprisoned.

The day is young and I am younger.

Its time to get off of this couch.
