The Return

February 2, 2017

It was such an abrupt coming in,

So unexpected and bothersome.

But I cannot be surprised,

I asked for what came to me but not in that way.

I asked for something to write about,

And I that is exactly what I got.

The worst most inspiring yet painful thing has creeped its way back,

Which I have thankfully been without for so long.

The dreadful disease of Depression has made its heartbreaking return,

All the memories, aggression, stress and suffering.

However, now I have my muse back,

now I can write again.

But is having a muse worth not having my happiness,

or even the will to live.

Is it?
