Overwhelmed

May 29, 2014

New

All I see around me is new

New words,

New people,

New phrases

How does one make a name for herself?

More, how does one not fade into the shadows?

I want this weight off my shoulders.

They depress everytime I breathe

with what must be the pressure of a century.

Because I talk

Yet no one listens.

And now everything is

New new new

But I feel so old.

So old, my bones are melting together.

So old, my mind has stopped thinking.

So old, my heart won't beat much longer.

Everything here is so new,

yet I'm old,

tired,

lonely,

and so so so overwhelmed.
