Before the Fall

December 6, 2018

Standing red with black behind me

Dull faces broken in spirit

Feelings lead to isolation of the heart

Steel bushes divide my sins from theirs

Inserting distance between people

Unknowing hands hold my unconscious thoughts

Closing palms keep my brain from taking a breath

Forced notes strain my voice

And diminish clear thought
