This is Me

September 30, 2013

I know I am different from those around me.

I have a disability many do not see.

If only teachers listened to my needs,

I would receive an education that feeds

My desire to go far

Not stay contained in a jar.

All I ask for is the chance for equality.

A place for me to be

Who I am without being defined

By my grades and test that have lied.

They do not show what’s inside

And how hard I have tried

To be the best I can be,

The one and only me.
