Hypocrite

October 26, 2018

There you go again.

Leaving me behind.

Take me with you!

No, don't take me.

Not this time.

I yearn,

And when you finally offer,

I reject.

Because if I accept,

There's no going back.

Not like the other times.

It is different now.

It's permanent.

The only thing that remains the same,

Is that I don't have a choice.

I didn't get to choose

To be able to come with you

All those times when you left.

And now

I don't get to choose

To be able to stay.

You want to take me away

From my home

To a place halfway around the world.

I can't reject

Or accept.

When I don't have a choice

My answer means nothing.
