Hard work is genetic

January 12, 2015

Hard Work

Role Models come in all shape and size
From athletes to movie stars
My role model the world doesn’t recognize
My dear mother, the best by far

All my life she has earned her pay
She has passed down her work ethic
Which I use every single day
Hard work in this case is genetic

While students sleep in the early morning
I go off to job number one
Without my coffee I am grouchy  warning
After a few hours the first job is done

It is a race from work to my first class
I can already feel my head bob
But I must stay awake because I need to pass
I think of my family and my tiredness stops

A day full of class but the day is young
As I drive to job number two in the next town
I think about my family and the accomplish among
My hard working parents all daughters and no sons

My little sisters have three meals a day
They have a roof over their head and are in bliss
They have it easier than me, which is what I pray
I live for my family, say  may see this as amiss

My flawlessness shines through my hard work
Paying my way through school
Providing for my family is the real perk
But being able to spoil my sisters is also cool

I live an abnormal life for someone of my age
But everyday my schedule is on repeat
My families well-being is my success gauge
One day they will have everything, my work will be complete

Materials and looks are not a thought
Because time with my family has no price
Hard work, passion and love cannot be taught
As for my own future, it is a roll of the dice
