If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

2 poems·Since November 2012

I've been a poet since I was introduced to poetry in 6th grade, 6 years ago. I have my own little black book of poetry, and only some of which is read by anyone other than myself. I love the way poetry feels, how it sounds, but mostly, what it means. It's a portal into someone's soul. Though it may not reflect what's going on in their life, it reflects a feeling in a single moment, which is part of why I think it's so beautiful. Anyway, I'm mostly a fun, positive person, but my poetry tends to reflect my dark side. So don't worry; I'm not depressed. Poetry just gives me an outlet. If there's anything else you want to know, just message me... Or however that works on here.
