Distract

May 26, 2014

I started a book

Around 8 AM.

There was yelling and screaming

From 8:30 to 10.

I felt like a mundane burden

That cannot tell anyone I'm hurtin'

So I cried and cried

Until my headache worsened

My sister went to work

Around 12 PM.

I sat in her room

And ignored them.

1:30

Picked up the book

6 or 7 hours

Was all it took.

3 in the afternoon

Clouds roll in

And kill the light

And bring the wind

Painted a picture

I hate painting.

Pickec up the book

And kept reading

So 9 o clock

This rainy night

My sister says

She'll be home late

My mom is awake

Dad is on the couch

I read through an entire book today

And put it back on the shelf.
