Learning is the Way

April 19, 2014

There is always learning going on,

That's something that never stops.

It isn't taught in a classroom,

Or by a textbook with fancy words.

Learning is a full time job,

At home, or out in the world.

You learn with your hands,

By the sights that catch your eye.

We are only human,

So sometimes we look without seeing.

But that doesn't mean we don't learn,

The learning comes from realizing we didn't see.

What a fascination to know,

To know that I can experience new sensations,

To know that I can remember those feelings,

To know that it won't just go away.

What I have learned will stick for tomorrow,

What I haven't learned today isn't lost,

It makes me overjoyed that learning is education,

One that doesn't need fees.

Learning is a miracle,

It's what keeps me going forward,

Keeps me looking ahead,

Keeps me ticking.
