A Release

April 16, 2018

Heavy tears of salt streaming down a face.

Red cheeks, heavy breathing, heart beating at rapid pace.

Happy times, sad stories, or for reasons unknown,

Fears, frustrations, fun, or failure- mixed emotions are sewn.

Empathy for others, crack a smile through the pain,

A release of built-up pressure to keep the self sane.

For a topic in the present or as far off as a star,

A versatile escape tears prove that they are.
