Memory

January 19, 2014

Strange how a picture can take you to a place,

a time,

a memory you once had,

held dear,

or pushed away.

How a song can transport you,

carry the scent of a lover,

the burn of a betrayal,

the comfort of a promise.

Memory is like a sense,

you use it often and you never forget.

You don't,

you lose things forever.
