Chains

September 28, 2014

Your words, they chain me.

They drag and drag,

and I'm drowning.

Further and further I fall

deep into the black.

The water rises up,

I can't breathe.

Every word adds a link,

making the chains

heavier

heavier

heavier.

I can't move.

I can't breathe.

You've trapped me here,

and I can't break free.
