Brandon Bennett

If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

2 poems·Since April 2013

Growing up socially awkward I've always been able to express myself through poetry. Poetry allows oneself to muster up the courage they need to finally show their opinion, give their message and show people that they're not just another person that they're just a wrapper and once unwrapped there is nothing but greatness

Class of 2013!!!!!

April 18, 2013
Class of 2013 By Brandon Bennett Four years have come and gone we never thought it’d take so long. But as I stand here on this stage; the flashbacks start of long lost days. I remember the times that brought me I remember the times as a 9th grade boy. The times that made us laugh and cry; and how we made our teachers sigh. Times of pain and sorrows woe; we all were pushed yet would not let go. But then we grew up now we’re grown all flaws of the world are finally shown. Now it’s time to provide living in this system of things until it gives up or we do. We learned to grow to love, to live we learned to care to laugh and forgive. These were the good ole days where I daze off sometimes. The good ole days weren't meant to last because life goes on without the past. When the world was just a happy face evil put into its place. So many times we were struck with fear; but now you see were standing here. And now we've made it life is great but still ah the good ole days. A place where I sometimes long to belong a place that I once heard in a beautiful song. Tears of joy fall to the ground laughter and love is all around. So now we leave the world our own; we start out now to seek our throne. Different paths all lead which way but where we’ll end none can say. You hold your future in the palms of your hands; mold it and make it into all that you can. I am almost done with this little rhyme all I have left is this one last line. This is your year Follow your dreams We are the class of 2013!!!
