Awesome- State of mind

July 17, 2015

Every now and again, we believe we are awesome.

My friend, she's awesome, for having my back.

My mother, she's awesome, for not cutting me slack.

My sisters, they're awesome for excelling in things that I lack the skills to do.

God, he is awesome because he is the Almighty father...

But what about me?

How am I awesome?

Im awesome by the darkness of my skin, compared to my peers.

I am awesome by the curliness of my hair, the brown of my eyes,

I am awesome by the way I smile, the way I laugh, the way my mind works.

No one else is the world needs to think, that I am awesome, but me.

Why? You may ask.

Because awesomeness comes from within, it starts with you.
