On The Rocks

July 21, 2017

Clinking ice tinks the glass

Fire water from fermented grain

Smooth liquid flows down past

Two fingers stack up on task

Soothing stomach tames

Rich flavor aged in cask

Drink it down, but make it last

Moment of clarity strikes my brain

Hide the problem in a flask

Everyone is immortal

Until the next morning…
