Mine

May 5, 2013
I remember back before my life was in control. Back before surviving was my only goal. But now it seems like that was a lifetime ago. Whether or not I will survive each day, I never really know. I lost my feelings in this life, and what used to be me. I can't find myself at all, who I used to be. My body feels no joy, and no sadness. I feel nothing now, except only madness. I can no longer see, and I can no longer feel. I can no longer touch, I don't know what's real. From other people's eyes, I have it all together. But from my own, my soul has been severed. On my face you will see the smile that I wear. That I have to put on to gratify people who don't even care. I wear a mask on my face that grins and lies, that hides all the pain that I feel inside.
