Support is Key

November 17, 2019

Without support, where would we be?
People come and go like the sea
But not like my mother, see
Support is Key

The journey started rough,
But had to be tough.
Without thee father,
Wasn't much of a bother.
Support is Key

Faced a disability,
But mother supported me with positivity.
Conquered through,
Impressed my teachers and got oohs,
But struggled to make father proud,
Guess it's not as bad as it could sound.
Support is Key

High school,
Father has been gone,
So I told him so long.
All I needed was my rock,
In order to get to the top.
Thank you mom,
For helping me be the best Tom.
Just kidding, my name is Desiree,
And I was raised to be the best in my own way.
Support is Key.
