skin to skin

March 30, 2020

My first moments on earth

Were in my mothers arms

As she smelled my head

As she saw my face

As she hope to hear my cries

As she felt my hands

As she tasted her tears

As I was placed on my mothers chest

Skin to skin

She felt my heartbeat too

I looked in her eyes

She looked in mine

She kissed my forehead

And we closed our eyes

A moment I'd wish to have

Someone's child is brought into isolation

A moment I'd wish they'd have
