A War Cry

December 9, 2014

You wake up, nauseas

You throw up, cautious

You head hurts, a conscience

Go to the mirror, stare down

Go to the scale, with a frown

Go to the gym, feeling run down

Listen to music, you’re not going to cower

Listen to God, you’re his flower

Listen to yourself, you’re have power

You woke up, wanting to rip out your spleen

You go to bed, thinking you are a queen

You fall asleep, knowing you’re just sixteen

For everything, there is a purpose

You look unique, and you are worth it
