Upsidown

January 6, 2017

365 days.

365 nights.

365 sunsets

365 sunrises.

So much can happen in a year.

On the second day of 2016 I lost my grandfather.

On the third month of 2016 I traveled the world.

In the winter of 2016 I started a new college.

In the last week of 2016 I moved to a new state.

So much can happen in a year.

I’ve grown into an adult in 2016.

In November, I turned twenty,

No longer a teenager.

Gone are the troublesome years of adolescence.

So much can happen in a year.

In December,

I moved across the country by myself.

A new city,

A new life.

So much can happen in a year.

I consider the mirror.

A different girl stands before me.

365 days older.

365 experiences wiser.

So much Can happen in a year.
