Torn In Two

July 30, 2018

My heart is aching!

I feel torn in two.

Between who I was,

And between the new.

Away I will go

To venture afar,

Away from my love

With feelings ajar.

Can I be worried?

Can that be allowed?

Allowed to be scared

Of this brand new crowd?

Or will I be judged

If I don't stand strong,

Keeping my head high

For ever so long?

Away I will go!

I'm happy, it's true.

Despite all my fears,

And my heart in two.

As much as I want

To start something new,

I will always miss

My true love, my you.
