If you don't learn to write your own story, someone else will write it for you

11 poems·Since September 2014

I have a passion for all things dealing neurologically and psychologically with the human brain. I also love writing, public speaking, and performance. I write about the issues in my own life as well as issues of the past and around the world. I also edit captions of the school yearbook and newspaper and I am the flute section leader in marching band and first chair in concert band. I love life. :)

Their Rules

September 24, 2014

All my life there have been men

these particular men, they

served as leaders of

something so simple as rules

right and wrong

not confusing yet to me

bewildering.

Bewildering for the simple fact as

everything

everything I did was

WRONG, everything that

happened was my fault

because of

men.

Men and their rules.

Until recently some rules

did not piece together

like a puzzle piece. Like,

the man and his rule of

allowing the flowers just outside

our window to wilt,

to lose every piece of beauty and radience they

witheld

To not try and recussitate them because

it was MY fault they were wilting.

My punishment was to watch them wilt .

So, with men came

rules.

With rules came

punishment.

With punishment came

"It's My Fault..."
