dedication

July 30, 2013

i dedicate this one to

the girl with the stars

in her eyes pointed

daggers towards

the soles of her shoes

because i promised her

she'd be on page one

because her writing

was so beautiful

and to the boy who

never knew what he

wanted, god i hope he's

happy, this is for him

too

because i promised him

he'd be listed right under

my family, but i changed

my mind and i

left them out.

this one is for the boy

the boy i didn't get, and

didn't deserve and didn't

really love anyways,

because he changed me

for the better, and i would

say thank you but he would

laugh.

this is for the girl who

kissed me for the first time,

because it was a dare and

it was funny but i always

thought she was beautiful

inside

because she cared about

me even when i

pissed her off.

and for the boy who i knew

i would never get even though

i promised it was different

this time, even though

it wasn't

because i wrote him

a million poems

and hope he never read

a single one.

and lastly for the boy who

hates me now and loved me

then and hates my art

and love poetry

but somehow would still

talk to me

because he changed

and changed me too

and i hope he's happy

and i hope they're all happy

because this is for them

and if they're not happy

i don't think they'll care.
