all that's there
August 6, 2026
the last words I’ll get from you are spoken by her voice
I thought I had chance maybe even the slightest choice
I even got to hear about all the moves you made
while the colors of my feelings began to fade
I found myself in the way I love
but showing what I can be won’t be enough
the hours I put into imagining the titles
of melodies signed with mine, it’s timeless
but the summer sun won’t change my
longing eyes
I know I always take a step to far and dramatize
you’re there sending pictures so she’ll laugh in her room
did you know that she had to hear my opinion to first assume
that you’ll give her all the butterflies
I have the talent to be best at catching my own lies
mainly about the way I still romantasise
what never even shined through to you
I’m now giving advice on how to best hold hands
I shouldn’t do that, cause I was never where she stands
I bet she wants to see me hanging on for dear life while she’s living
but even if it slowly disintegrates me,
that’s not what I’m giving
so what’s the deal with you leaving?
are the hopes you brought to her really worth her grieving
let me rephrase it for someone who stays to play
you had more control than anyone should’ve who won’t say
or even bring himself down to care about
someone who can still see you and scout
why I had to clear out the last ink in my pen
I got to the old books and asked the wise men
what they would’ve done if they where at my place back then
but the notes I dedicated to you are why
I turned out to know how to cry
it’s a curse, how I keep writing names down you wear
all that could've been possible for us was a simple love affair
