Surrounded Release

July 8, 2014

I am surrounded by everyone,

By everything.

But it’s not enjoyable,

It’s not pleasant,

Just annoying.

“So why must I put up with this?”

Because I must.

I don’t have a choice whether or not,

I’m happy with it or not,

I just must.

Born into a family of the rich and famous.

Born to be perfect and set examples.

But I don’t want any of this.

I just want to be ordinary,

Ordinary like that girl walking on the sidewalk.

Walking without a care in the world,

Because she can.

Because she’s free.

To be free,

What’s that feel like?

To be free from these chains that weigh me down.

To be released from their gazes.

Criticizing my every move.

To be free of it all.
