Time Is Merely Elusive

April 16, 2019

Typically the least regarded resource,

Used with no hesitation or remorse.

Things that are important go the wayside,

People swept away by the streaming tide.

Inside an abstract concept uncontrolled.

We are stuck, no chance of being paroled.

Incredibly we find meaning in here,

Each fragile day, month and for every year.

Mere moments not to be easily wasted,

Yet we do the same things copy/ pasted.

More stomach than heart, our girth awarded,

Our morals irreversibly sordid.

Every hour let’s try to make up our time,

Act to love each other and kindness mime.

Eventually our souls will slip away,

Until then let’s live our fullest each day.
