Broken Sky

June 2, 2014

This world is painted ebony
With wide cracks in the sky
Where the angels fell from heaven
To live their tortured lives

I used to believe in angels
But the demons got to me
And now these pawns of Satan
Will never let me be

Sadness is silence
And silence is golden
But all I know
Is this world is broken

Without the angels
There is only hopeless
And a world without hope
Is a world of nothingness

Divided by war
Murdered by prejudice
I just wish society
Could handle this

Often we pretend
That nothing is wrong
But the broken sky sings
A desperate song

Telling us to think
Telling us to hope
Telling us to pray
Telling us to cope

We will make it through
This twisted patch of time
Society will fix
It's dead and broken sky

There is a white light
It's shining through the sky
It's the angels way of saying
We will be alright
