Worthless

January 16, 2017

People we admire,

leaders and celebrities,

they’ve become our authorities,

people’s identities.

Free will of choice is forgotten

when the influence cannot be resisted

for those who have not been tested

on the values of which they’re consisted.

If the foundation is weak, what is life?

A performance seeking applause,

a competition for their awes.

An ignorance of flaws.

How will they respond to a limited spring?

Always searching for satisfaction

by way of their own action

which becomes a distraction

from the truth.

But even my family and I fall into this pit.

We are given direction and loose focus.

We play with those who hocus,

fail to take advantage of our locus.

Yet our worthlessness is enough.

We have been bought

by the one who sought

many of the distraught.
