Whats to come

March 28, 2016

As for the future we don't know,

You could become a fireman, a doctor or the kid that shovels snow,

You have to buy yourself a first car,

That you will love, make a bond with and drive to somewhere far,

You could be a gardener, looking after the green bushy trees,

Or maybe a dealership manager keeping hold of all the keys,

People say that special someone's going to come,

We will know who they are when your hand goes all numb,

You think her smile is as beautiful as a flower,

So you propose to her on the Eiffel tower,

With that someone you will find a place to live,

That place you will call home or maybe your "crib",

This place will be beautiful, you built your own pergola and you have luscious green grass,

You can sit outside and relax with some beer in your glass,

You will think your world can't get any better,

Until you wife tells you she's cooked brochette,

At the dinner table she shows you a news paper segment,

Then she tells you the news, she pregnant,

Your life will turn dramatically as your focus does change,

And you have a kid that is really strange,

You will watch TV cartoons with them, such as Yogi the Bear or Ben Ten,

They will eventually get older, leaving you and your wife to be,

They say they will come visit every month, but that is a lie that any could see,

Then you have grandchildren, girl and a boy, One named Jessica and the other Troy,

Eventually you and your wife will grow old and weak, to the point where you can't hold your own drink,

Now Your life has sadly come to a end,

As everyone adored you, they were sad to hear the bad news of their friend,

But now you're up in heaven with your wife and you are not anymore to grow,

Your son called you his hero,

You're the person everyone used to know,

The future is yet to come, so enjoy your life while you're still young,

Be whatever you want to be,

That is what they say to me.

What's to come?
