hours

September 30, 2017

Some days I go hours without thinking of him.

I go hours without resenting myself for the decisions I've made.

I can go hours without longing for your attention.

I let 60 minutes pass without missing his words.

Time passes and I don't remember that twinkle in your eye,

and how it made me week in the knees.

I go hours without trying to remember every conversation we had.

I should go hours with out picking up my phone,

and typing a message to him, then only to delete it

because he wouldn't care anyway.

I need to spend hours not basing my self worth on how he didn't want me.

I need to spend every minute of the day loving myself and putting my energy into those who love me because I am me, and for them that is enough.
