January 28, 2016

loving you tastes like

sweet milk gone bad.

it smells like decacy-

and my piss soaked dreams.

loving you feels the realization

that everyone you know will die.

your face I once adored-

is nothing but a constant reminder-

that I was not enough.

your hands I once felt safe in

are the same hands

ripping apart my being.

your eyes that once saw

the enitre world in me-

are void and blind--

and you don't see me at all!

I am the book whose pages

you tore out but never read.

I am the crack in the sidewalk

you step on everytime.

I am your favorite childhood toy

tossed carelessly under your bed-

rotting away- the thing that brought you joy

now completely useless to you.
