Change

January 9, 2017

change the touch of his embrace

erase the taste of his lips

wash away blood stains on sheets and wrists

swallow food instead of pills

pink capsules mixed with hard liquor

make it fade to dust

flashing lights buzz up in her head

hands wrap around her waist - spinning around

to high to come down -

reality vanished the first hit "oh shit what have I done"

all of this to erase h i m

six more shots

make it snow in this club tonight

throw up in bathroom stalls - breath in the snowflakes

making us higher than the empire state

fall in love with loneliness

make love to the scars upon your flesh

let go of regret

cause this liquor wont heal you

two more packs wont breath life back inside your lungs

take his hand and let him go

kiss those lips one last time

change it all cause one more high won't save you tonight
