No Strings Attatched

October 23, 2017

As I’m sitting here looking at the sky,

I think of the blue in your piercing eyes.

I smile and laugh as I think of you,

And slowly start to realize.

It’s not your overwhelming beauty,

Nor your unforgettable smile,

It’s not the perfect way you laugh at me,

Or how with you I feel complete.

I don’t love you because I should.

I don’t love you because I want to.

In daze it becomes quite clear,

I love you,

Because I love you.
