Inside

July 2, 2013

The raging storm swells with the tide,

Bash, crash; will not subside

Inside.

Outside,

An inner strength implied,

With brazen confidence decide.

In shadow, surety forgone.

The game against no one

Outside.

Inside,

A hope burns bright anon.

Glowing, growing, the light has won.

The reigning chaos thrust aside,

A stillness does abide

Inside.

Outside,

There is a great divide

Where something soft and gentle died.

Red hot bullets, cold blue steel gun.

Frightened child turns to run

Outside.

Inside,

Scarred warrior stands, one

Who holds firm, will not be undone.

All peace continually denied

As snarling wolves collide

Inside.

Outside,

Hands calmly at the side,

An answer forwardly supplied.

The war has only just begun,

The battle rages on

Outside.

Inside,

A stalwart ray of sun

Shines, refuses to be outdone.
