j’ai

besoin d’

return to the

sweet acridness

of cigarettes

and lingering

diphthongs

displacing

my tongue.

insisting on.

reverberate,

forgetting to

 sound cohesive.

metro stations:

 veins and arteries

 allowing the life-

force of a city to

flow freely through

cobblestone paths

along the Seine.

arches and arches:

brilliance captured

in gothic angles and

kaleidoscopic lines.

                                                           piquant             merlot,

                                                      fermenting,               twisting,

                                                  dance among              chapped lips:              

                                                quenching not                 thirst, but lust.

                                           truculent breeze superseding hair: collecting

                                           tar, exhaust and an elevated awakening. virility.

                                          alleyways and street vendors run laps around my

                                         consciousness:                           9:00 iridescence:

                                        illumination of                                the senses. awe.
