Ghost among Ghosts

June 5, 2025

They saw nothing,

But I never noticed,

Because I saw nothing too—

A blankness, where something should have been.

I spoke, but there was no sound,

But I never noticed,

Because there was no sound in them either—

A silence, where something should have been.

I stood, but there was no ground,

But I never noticed,

Because there was no ground beneath them either—

A vacancy, where something should have been.
