The Wall

November 8, 2018

Windows,

There everywhere.

I’m behind looking out, looking out to the world. There are smiles past this thick piece of glass. This thick piece of glass, that separates me from the world I see.

This Window wasn’t always there. One day it just appeared and this transparent wall became normal. I pound on it, hoping someone will hear me but no one ever listens.

In my head I scream, I scream because no one realizes. No one can see me on my knees with this knife in my hand. The knife is the words. The words that people have said.

I hold these daggers that countless of people have given me. It’s hard to stand, I feel heavy.

Will my legs ever hold me again?
