On The Sidelines

August 6, 2013

Its as if you feel invincible

Or maybe you don’t feel at all

It’s as if I’m the only one

That you’ve ever seen fall.

Maybe she’s perfect

But maybe I’m worth it

I won’t let you down

Give me a chance

But you don’t care

I watch your emotionless stare

As I stand on the sidelines once again

I don’t know why I try still

Don’t know why I cry still

Maybe I should just give up

I want this to end now

To get in there somehow

I want to see you believe

I want to feel wanted

Right now I’m just haunted

Tired of being pushed aside

And they ask how I lost all my pride

I’m physically sick

While I try to be emotionally strong

You’re just a tick

That has been hanging on all along
