Letter to Time

February 2, 2018

Dear Time,

Why?

Why have you left me in the hands of thine?

My hair has brittled,

Chipping off in a rockslide towards a spittle.

My skin has dropped low,

Touching the frigid snow.

My nails dulled,

Shining no longer in the warm sun’s rays.

Most importantly,

My eyes no longer do they shine.

They wander off in the nick of thine.

Focus not on the woman's words.

Never knowing what we have learned.

My eyes are lost in you,

Time.

I am waiting for my compelling friend.

Waiting for the day for my time to end.

It should have been long ago,

The white coat said with a pen.

Yet you won’t let me go to my heaven.

You keep me here.

Aging,

Like a fine wine.

But soon my sweetness will be all dry,

And marrowed bitterness will be my cry.

Please hear my plea,

Let me go away from this bead.

I have lived a minute too long on this wretched earth.

Time,

Take me away from the devils' work.

Time. . .

Time. . .

Tim. . .

Ohh Tim. . .

Ti. . .

Ti . .

T. . .

. . .

oLve,

iunaLa ackM
