Step by Step

July 27, 2015

Walking together, step by step

Tall, dark hair, light eyes

Short, light hair, dark eyes

Cliche harmony

Sparks from the first glance

Double dates and secrets

Their placement was as perfect as it looked

"I think I love you"

Honesty, taken for granted

Bullets lay subconsciously in their hands

Untold thoughts sits covered with blankets of security

Just play your part, its nothing

Long day, coming home

Behind that door is a conflict that will change lives

Tension waited for their arrrival

Choosing weapons, taking places

Blame falls to the floor, untaken

Shots fired, taking innocent feelings

Wet cheeks. eyes drenched with red

Understanding took an absence

Slammed doors, sudden realization

Sloppy footsteps echo until unwanted silence

Cold streets, cold floors

Bitterness poisened the foundation

Met for a reason, left for a reason

Sew your own bullet holes

What ifs corrupt minds

Walking alone, step by step
