Words.

July 12, 2018

They surrounded you,

Swaddled you,

From wen u wer smol,

Till now at the precipice

Between child and not.

They brought you here.

They followed you,

Shadowed you,

From brink to brink,

To think to think

And when you were low,

They raised you here.

They watered you,

Nourished you,

From clay to stone,

From plant to planet

They made their mark.

They shaped you here.

They elevated me

Destroyed me

Enlightened me

Shattered me

They never knew me.

And for that

I thank them all.
