Not Anymore

March 4, 2019

Everyday, the sun sets and rises the same way.

It's night and day, night and day.

We can't change it,

Bend it to our will.

The only thing that we can change,

is what we do with it.

I can't control everything.

Time doesn't stop moving, the sun doesn't stop setting,

Everything moves so fast, it's terrifying.

But it doesn't have to be.

I choose to focus on the here and now.

Spread kindness, love, and compassion.

Make sure that my story gets told.

Do more than just exist in this world.

You know, I used to be afraid of things out of my control.

Not anymore.
