Ignorance

February 16, 2016

Land of the free, not to me,

people are living in misery,

mamas crying, their babies dying,

all for the land of liberty.
They say the schools are where leaders learn to lead,

but the throngs of children seem more like slaves to me,

subjugated by the will of the cretinous government who sits on a pile of lies,

but they're not the ones willing to risk their lives,

it's the plebeians, the people,

eager to sacrifice for a country who only pretends to cry,

they make movies that glorify the battle but they never spotlight what really matters, the things that go on behind the scenes,

for the families and friends that welcome home these men and women who are scarred for life,

some not even willing to fight for their own life,

they'd much rather die and get it over with,

be done with the strife.
