Clocks

July 26, 2016

Lately all I've wanted to do is to be able to rewind time
And go back to when I could sleep in your warm embrace.
If the ultimatum were that everything played out the same
I'd take it and endure every bit and more of that heartache.

So tell me just how you did it, how you controlled time
Because when I was with you time stood completely still.
Now you are long gone and time is easily dancing away
Leaving us in the past to remain nothing but a memory.
