Burden

December 17, 2014

Slave of inhumanity, product of my own insanity

The man I am is not because of who I was but who I want to be

I stand for what is unbearable, I breathe and am unbreakable

My heart is made of titanium but my mind is built from glass

These walls that are surrounding me are the hands that are drowning me

In my own internal contradictions, these inner burning inflictions,

these moral imperfections that make me who I am

A creation of the system and a rebel of same,

I am the fallen angel they dreamed that once came

out of the darkness to become, the one that they would fear
because in the reflection of my wings they saw themselves
