why do i sometimes feel

hollow

like an empty bottle

rolling around on the side walk

into the road and

crushed

by traffic so pointless to exist

why do i sometimes think

things are impossible

i'll never get it done

i'll disappoint everyone

why do i sometimes not like

what i do

i get praised by the teachers

for being quiet

scorned by the others for just being

myself

why do i wish

there was another life

i could run to

change my own

when i like being sad?

why do i love being alone

with only my thoughts

and a paper

writing till my words

bleed off the page

and my hands burn from the

pain of too many things

running in my head

why do i see

someones pain

and want to experience it too

to know what happened

to feel that suffering

because one day

i won't have to

i dont know why

but when i hear someone

alone

i want to listen to their story

hear their whys,

and give them a chance

to speak their mind

heart

and soul

their darkest thoughts

their burning heartache

their bubbling excitment

beacause no one ever did that

for me.
