The Stone Man

May 21, 2013
Like a wildflower in a garden A red sun in the night Like a corner to a cycle A life in a death Like a color on a cloud A fever in the ice The dark and the light road wind together The indifference and the love Blend Into a collage of collapsing lines Until nothing but the feeling is felt No definition No break No words No mind over matter Just the crush of the wave Or the sunlight on skin For information turned a heart cold And the response became mechanical A sheet of steel that bends to the will of the expected But fire without fuel Sputters and fades Until it turns to stone
