Within

July 23, 2013

My head is throbbing; my fists are balled up sweaty palms

My body is aching; my mind is intertwined deep thoughts

Mentally and emotionally I’m drained, so physically I take action

Fighting with you, screaming at you, crying for you, I’m just over it all

Over the abuse of not being heard, my voice is not being heard

Aren’t I loud enough? So why can’t you hear me?

Aren’t I clear enough? So why don’t you understand me?

Understand as I write this poem it’s not for you

Hear the fact that I can’t even speak to you

As for a pen and paper, take me away

From the drama from my anger from my trapped mind that hides in the dark

I’m just coming out to play

There are no rules, no games, no timeouts, no teams

This is how I really feel this is what I have to say

This is why I write
