Coding a Story

April 15, 2014

"Does the wind still rise?"

stories told won't be forgotten

kids running and the sun setting

tell me these don't mean something

can i tell you a story

that you will clutch and carry and

never let go

stories that remain and stories that you retell

stories that live and breathe with

a heartbeat.

The words i write are cold and logical

numbers and semicolons and

but a frame for a story for you to tell

this might be all i can do

but i will be gladly be

the spine and binding

of a wonderful story to be told.
